Watches: Titan watches are now officially distributed by Marco Worldwide in Malaysia - They show us their GPHG nominated pieces, the Edge Ultra Slim and Edge Squacle as well as their meteorite dialed Stellar

Yesterday I was invited to attend the signing of Titan Company ltd of India with their Malaysian distributors, Marco Worldwide Sdn Bhd, a name familiar with those in the watch industry here. As for Titan, the brand from India, they have been around since 1984 and known for producing and selling affordable watches. While they have been in Malaysia for more than a decade, they have decided to work with Marco Worldwide moving forward. 

As part of the ceremony, Titan had a showcase of their lineup of watches on display and also had models who paraded them who wore clothing from local designer brand Inisaya who is known for its modern interpretations of traditional batik wear. But for the watch collector in me, it is the specialty pieces that attracted me. 

Watches: The IWC Eternal Calendar - thoughts after viewing it at the recent IWC x Tatler GMT event at the IWC boutique in Pavillion KL

This is the IWC Eternal Calendar. It is a secular perpetual watch so complicated, in its mechanical complications, that even without a need of an electronic calculator can keep an accurate perpetual moonphase with 45,000,000 years accuracy and a calendar accurate until 3499ad. Simply outrageous and I have held such a contraption in my hands about a month or so ago at an IWC x Tatler GMT event at its boutique at the Pavillion Kuala Lumpur.

Change in distributors for BELL & ROSS watches in Asia and the Middle East

Not my usual posting but I just wanted to share this press release about BELL & ROSS watches. New distributors in Asia and the Middle East for the brand. But instead of a real change, it would seem that B & R are going to do it by themselves and not through any distributors.
